Houston, we have rain!

Who knew I could be so excited to see rain!?!

Texas is going through the third worst drought in Texas history,
and after missing the sight of rain, in who knows how long,
I am pretty excited!
Isn't it beautiful!?!
I think we have gotten about an inch so far!

Mia and Tilli and pretty happy about it too!
Don't we all get the best naps in the rain?
And after weeks of temps in the 100's, this is exciting to see too!
It's a great day in Texas y'all! ;)

Hope you're having a great Wednesday as well!

  1. Here in GA we're in the same pickle! 90* temps w/little to no rain, or severe storms.
But we have cloud cover today, with a good chance of rain the rest of the week.
    YAY!
    Beautiful backyard BTW...

  2. Awwwww.... You got pictures!! We got some rain too - a little over an inch to be exact - I almost teared up when I saw it. I didn't at all mind that all the thunder and lightening woke me up!

  4. It is great you got some rain. In the Panhandle of Texas we are still waiting. I finally saw a few clouds in the far distance but at least it was clouds. We are so dry my husband has not had to cut the grass yet this year, even the weeds won't grow. I guess there is always some good in everything. THANKS FOR YOUR POST, at least there is still HOPE for us. GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL, BLESSINGS TO YOU

  6. Hi!
I'm your Louisiana neighbor - abt a mile from the TX state line. We got thunder, clouds, and wind - not a drop of rain. Day 49 at 100+ and predicted for the entire week.

    It's official - I have "Rain Envy"!

  7. Hooray for the rain. It is truly beautiful when you've not seen it for such a long time. I'm your Louisiana neighbor so when you've had your fill please send it our way. I'm amazed at how green your yard is. Ours has burnt up.
"Fried"...I'm on the TRAIN this week.
